About Village Vine Radio

In 2011, local entrepreneur Jim Moran started Sierra Madre’s first internet radio station, Radio Fishbowl. He operated the station with the assistance of James Faulkner aka DJ Boddington. In the fall of 2012, after a run of almost 2 years, Jim Moran decided to move on to other business opportunities and agreed to turn the station over to The Jim Moran Community Radio Foundation, Inc., a non-profit corporation founded by Gene Goss in honor of Jim Moran’s path breaking work with Radio Fishbowl.

The JMCRF Board of Directors, under the leadership of Board Chairman Gene Goss, then developed the subsidiary Village Vine Online. Village Vine Online is a community radio station based in Sierra Madre and serves Sierra Madre and the San Gabriel Valley. Its goal is to serve as a source of locally derived information and entertainment with the further aim of helping sustain the community by supplementing and supporting existing community institutions.

The JMCRF Board is now recruiting 15 members of the community to serve on its new Community Advisory Board. To apply, please send an email to hostvi@yahoo.com.
